Pixels are splayed across the cover in a random arrangement to give homage to Licko's "LoRes" typeface and involvement in the tech industry. LoRes is also featured as the typeface for the title, headers and pullout-quotes in the book. The body copy is Licko's "Mrs Graves" typeface.
The overall concept of the publication was to try to mesh digital design into a printed material to reflect Licko's career in tech and print, which is why I used pixels to denote page numbers and other small features, like highlighting the photo credit byline.
